Fight corruption in Uganda will justify high taxes, increase revenue collection and reduce debt burden of Uganda
With sixty percent of the revenue collected in Uganda being plundered through corruption and tribalism higher taxes will be opposed by the Ugandan public and increase hatred for the NRM regime. However if the government were to combat corruption and improve service delivery Ugandans will tolerate higher taxes. The reduced corruption will increase the resource envelope available for service delivery and the higher taxes will increase revenue collection and reduce the debt burden by reducing borrowing.
